"Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate." Hello! I'm Maya, a licensed professional counselor supervisor, nationally certified sex therapist who also focuses on relational health, and member of the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT). My passion for this discipline finds its roots in growing up in organized religion, and not understanding why sex and sexuality weren't openly discussed, as well as why there seemed to be stigma at the mention of even having the conversation. My focus since that time has been to eliminate stigma and shame, and to increase understanding, awareness, education, and empowerment.
